Tri-Esox Productions, Ltd was started in 1995 to produce the Chicago Muskie Show.  Each year since then, the show has grown bigger and better.  Steve Statland and Lynn Shuster, partners in Tri-Esox have fished together for over 35 years.  Steve is a past international president of Muskies, Inc. and a member of the Muskie, Inc. Hall of Fame, while Lynn has been involved in various aspects of the sporting goods business since 1968.

Fishing trip 2005

On an early August trip this year we were fortunate to be staying at the fabulous Hook N Horn Lodge on legendary Rowan Lake in Northwestern Ontario. While Steve was no stranger to Rowan, having boated many trophy lunge from its fertile depths, this was Lynn’s initial experience on this superb fly in muskie lake.
The first several days were difficult fishing with bright sun filled skies and inactive muskies. Lake trout, northern pike, and largemouth bass were being cooperative, but the muskies were just not snapping. A few missed strikes and one botched net job had us muskiefrusted.
On the morning of the seventh day we anxiously looked to the heavens and Mother Nature sweetly whispered "Let there be clouds". An easy 200 yard portage to gin clear Shingwak Lake and crankbaits were our tickets to muskie redemption. A five fish day provided all the excitement and action for which we had been yearning.
